What is eLegacyConnect.com?

eLegacyConnect is a subscription-based succession planning web community. It allows connected family business owners and professional advisors to address questions, and share experiences in real-time.

eLegacyConnect is an ‘open-source’ planning platform that invites members to participate in the succession planning process. It encourages collaboration and cooperation among all participants.

eLegacyConnect is comprised of three interconnected communities; it offers an unparalleled library of planning resources, and other experiences designed to facilitate the succession planning process.

  • CommunityConnect is the gathering point for members, professional advisors and subject matter experts to share first-hand experiences and collaborate in real-time.
  • My Action Plan is a dynamic, interactive, series of succession planning steps that puts the member in charge and allows them to lead the planning process, track progress, and access complementary resources.
  • FarmPartner is the first-of-its-kind automated resource for pairing young aspiring farmers with retiring farmers for career, ownership, and mentoring opportunities.

What is the cost?

Subscriptions are $24.95/month or $240.00/annual; you’ll have the option to choose.  We invite you to take advantage of the 14-day free trial, which gives you the opportunity to take a look around.  You can cancel at any time within that period.  (Note: Through your membership with various national ag associations, you may qualify for a discount.  Check with your association's membership benefits coordinator for details.)

Special pricing may be offered in connection with events.  If so, you will note the reduced membership price upon initiating sign-up.

How does the billing work?

Credit card information verifies that the member is a real person, rather than an electronic bot.

All new members are granted a 14-day free trial. This allows new members to preview the site and explore the community. Following the 14th day, the credit card will be charged for membership as per the terms of use.

As a member of an alliance organization, how do I verify a membership benefit discount? 

Using the respective discount code, eLegacyConnect will automatically calculate the appropriate discount. For additional information, click on the organization’s logo on the opening screen, contact your organization, or contact eLegacyConnect.

May a member change renewal periods/billing cycles?


  • An annual membership may be changed to monthly. The change will take effect at renewal.
  • A monthly membership may be changed to annual. The change will take effect at the beginning of the following month.
  • Your subscription details may be viewed or modified via MyConnect (upper right of any page).

Is a refund available for cancellation?

No. A membership may be cancelled at any time. Both annual and monthly memberships will terminate at the next renewal.

How do I change payment method or initiate a cancellation?

Simply go to MyConnect (upper right of any page) and access 'My Subscription.'  You may upgrade to annual membership, change payment details, or cancel.  Memberships will terminate at next renewal.

What features are available for non-members?

A person may participate in the free trial offer, subscribe to the blog, and continue to monitor the public site for new developments. 

May I privately contact one of the advisors on eLegacyConnect?

Yes. From AdvisorConnect, click on ‘More’ on the advisor’s bio, and then the green ‘Send Message’ button. This access allows a member to privately contact an advisor.

Is there a Welcome Guide (user guide) available?

Yes.  The Welcome Guide offers a brief tour of key site features, and will be updated regularly as additional elements are activated.

I'm having trouble logging in; how may I resolve?

  • Your password can be reset by clicking on the 'Forget Password' prompt at login screen.
  • Also, if you already have an eLegacyConnect profile, be sure that are clicking on 'Login' rather than 'Sign Up' to access your account.

How may a member seek answers for questions or concerns not addressed on the site? 

Any member of the community may suggest new topics, ask new questions, and/or propose other concerns in CommunityConnect. A member may contact eLegacyConnect at ‘Contact Us.’ Or, a member may contact us directly –
